5 Most Uncommon and Powerful Link Building Strategies

Ideas are very important for a SEO. But when these ideas run dry, the SEO’s job gets very monotonous. Their daily techniques include submitting a guest post somewhere, a press release somewhere else, Emailing bloggers and hoping they respond back, drafting up an article and trying to get influencers on board. But away from these common ideas there are some uncommon ones, which can act as real game changers.

There are several link building strategies available. But five of them I feel are very uncommon and people have never heard before. On their wise use they can take you to the peak of success.

  1. EBooks (Cheap/Free)

If you have a link bait idea you are particularly proud of but not quite sure how to reach a large number of audience then an eBook could be the solution for you. There are various articles available on how to use eBooks to monetize a site that already has exposure, but believe it or not, eBooks can actually be so effective that you can get an exposure even in the first chance. It is a matter of fact that marketplaces like Amazon and Barnes&Noble are not even nearly saturated as the Google search results. Your high-traffic search term might face severe competition and lost due to impossible competition in Google, but there might not even be a book with that particular title. Look for an eBook listed in these marketplaces for a low price (or free), and try to make it good enough to get four or five-star ratings, and a decent readership can be expected very quickly by applying this technique.Get your website on the cover and in the pages of the book, and links will almost certainly follow.Through the native interfaces of Amazon and Barnes&Noble, they don’t allow you to price your book below $0.99 but by distributing through SmashWords you can get your book listed for free if you wish.If you are unable to write an eBook, keep in mind that a free or cheap eBook could be as long as five blog posts, or even shorter than this and very much without too many complaints against it.
  2. Hire Established Bloggers

If you don’t have a budget to hire someone, don’t worry for it. You really need not to hire someone in a payroll. Try to reach out to a few bloggers with a freelance offer and see what they’re willing to work for. You might be surprised to see the response.

  3. Interviewing an Influencer

You might not be able to interview a big celebrity or the President, but if you are unable to interview someone worthy, it is a negative mark for you. Heavy twitter users, authors, and even bloggers love exposure like everyone else. Try to offer to interview them and many of them should respond you back positively. This is a mode how they promote themselves.

  4. Commissioning an Artist or Photographer

If you are thinking about your budget, then again there is some good news for you. Artists and Photographers are also like Bloggers and many of them are ready in the market to work for you with very little money.
Check out Flickr and DeviantArt for these talented people and of-course you will find talents with a blog of their own and a decent amount of traffic. You can put them to work. Try to assign them work that doesn’t make them to sacrifice their integrity and they feel proud to do. If they are happy with their work, it shouldn’t be too difficult to convince them to feature their work in their own blog.

  5. Offering Free Work for an Influencer

Simply offering a product or service to an influencer and asking for a link in return is meaningless. Trying to offer them a service they are looking for is a very good way to build a good relationship, which down the lane is going to help you for sure.

Conclusion

Any innovative link building techniques cannot be completely predicted as a successful technique, so they shouldn’t replace the entire common methods, but they are very useful since they separate you from the competition and helps your site to receive success on the Web and in the search results.
