Do a quick search on Google to see just how many people are looking for ‘funny’ stuff. We all like a good hearty laugh. You too can incorporate a few good jokes in your post. The best way to do that is to have a humorous title that appeals to the readers.
In case, you cannot come up with something nice and funny that may sum up your content, then you should instead try and come up with something short, catchy and relevant. A well placed joke or a humorous take on an event is a superb way of building interest of the readers. If your readers are ‘having fun’ while reading your post, chances are they’d want to come back and read more of your blog.

There are plenty, plenty of topics out there that can take a controversial turn and instantly grab attention of the readers. Some of these topics are ‘good for all seasons’ while others keep coming and going. You can try to write on any of them, however, stay away from sensitive ones like religion. Your aim should be to ignite discussions without really hurting anybody’s feeling, for example you can start a debate like Apple vs. Android, and the likes.
Make sure you are picking something relatively recent, because people would be hardly interested in something that has fizzled out.

At any given time of the day, thousands and thousands of people are looking for the latest information on tech, gadgets and tools. If you deliver concrete, authentic news before anybody else does, you might just build a considerable following of your own.
You do not have to use all of these techniques in each and every post; just use whatever is the most suitable. You can experiment with all of these techniques and stick with the one that works best with your targeted audience.
I think humor is an especially underrated means of getting attention to your writing. Most niches tend to be very dry – humorous articles stick out like a sore thumb, but in a good way!
