Take short refresher courses or do volunteer work that will challenge what you know and let you practice your skill. Education need not stop once you get a diploma. And keeping your brain cells stimulated may just spark an idea or drive you to find a better solution to a problem. Opportunities come and go and it is so easy to miss especially when you are looking at the wrong direction, or not in the right place and time. So why wait for it to come knocking at your door? Look out for conferences and events related to your interests and make yourself present.  Make time to pursue your passion and keep your eye on the goal.

Do no let work load and other responsibilities prevent you from doing so. You do not need to use all of your free time. But setting aside a few hours a day will do.
