How to Be a Pro Blogger

Many skeptics believe that blogging does not include having any money be made, but that is why those people are skeptics. The reality of the situation is that there is plenty of money that can be potentially made from creating a blog, as long as the blog is made the right way. Not every blog online makes money, but not every blog out there is made with the intent to make money. With the right mind and the right direction, bloggers can become professional bloggers and gain extra income, online success, and become one of the “top dogs” of social media. Here are some tips on how to start your money-making venture.

Know what the purpose of your blog is. Is it to inform? Is it to persuade? Is it to deliver rants about your day to day life? Is it to follow and/or criticize celebrity life? Is it to idolize celebrity life? Develop a focal point for your blog and make sure every entry can center around that specific focal point. Even if your point is not to inform the public, you still have to give off an appearance of credibility. Write about what you know and write well.

Find the right blogging platform for you. Although it is very possible for you to create your own blog from scratch, it is better to use the resources already available to you. For example, available to bloggers are platform sites like Blogger, WordPress, Typepad, Livejournal, and MSN space. Blogger is the most recommended site because it is free, it is hosted by the site which means you pay no fees, it allows widgets to be implanted into the web page itself, and it allows AdSense which allows ads from Google to be displayed.

Do your research. Now that you know your blog’s aim, you should try to find blogs similar to the one you are looking to write. Look at those blogs and take into account the blog’s positives and negatives. What elements would you like to bring to your blog? What elements would you like to take out of it completely?

Blogging has to be at least one of your priorities during your day to day life. If you do not have the time to write at least one article per day, you shouldn’t look to make much money. The goal is to gain traffic and a following so keep readers updated, keep them coming back for more.

Commenting on other blogs also helps gain followers. This does not mean imitate spam, however. This means go to blogs similar to the one you are writing, comment honestly while leaving a link to your blog, as well as a signature.

Be wise and register with AdSense. By this point, blogging should be done for at least two months beforehand that way you can judge whether or not you have accumulated enough traffic to say you’re at least relevant. Applying for AdSense can be very time-consuming because there is a voyage of approval or disapproval. But if approved, it can lead to you making money through providing ads and guiding your traffic to their sites.

Be devoted to the blog. Don’t quit because you feel it is a waste of time or you feel like you aren’t seeing enough success from it. All of the blogs you see on a daily didn’t get there based on overnight success. It takes work, patience, and a motivation to continue.
