Millions of people worldwide are trying to make money online to earn a residual income/passive income, but the fact is only around 3% of people that try are successful. In this article, I’ll try to explain how you can get yourself included into those 3% by selling products online and thereby make money.
The First Step: Before we get into the main part of this article, I should just say that before you even start to figure out how to use internet marketing to make money online you should set your mind in the right spot.
To be precise, it means that you should visualize and picture your goal and take firm action each and every day to achieve your expectation.
So, assuming that you’ve set your mind in the right place, let us now move to the main part of this article:
What are different ways to Profit from Internet Marketing?
In this context, lemme quickly tell you that making money online is actually a process. And to follow the process you should have certain skills (with a bit of luck)….skills that can absolutely be learned.
The most famous Internet Marketers follow a basic system. Though each of their system may be slightly different in some respects from the other, but fundamentally I think these are the basic ones:-
- Finding a niche market
- Creating a web site
- Building an email list
- Building relationship with your subscribers
- Promoting products to your list
- Driving Traffic!
The advantage of this system is that once you get it up and running and start getting a fair amount of traffic, you’ll be able to bring in money on autopilot. Though you should always keep trying different new opportunities, else you’ll soon go to the bottom of the race
The Key Part to This Money Making Process…
From my experience of Internet Marketing, what I learnt is that you should always build your email list. It’s not only me, but this is the Mantra followed by the Best Internet Marketers.
Email lists are one of the most important parts of your online business model. The reason being simple – it will allow you to create a profit funnel. Don’t worry, I’ll explain about profit funnel in detail
As you start getting subscribers on your email list, you should start thinking about how you can build relationships (rather long term relationships) with them. For this you should send them valuable and really helpful content which is related to your web site niche. Then once you get their trust and they respect you, you can start promoting products which should be helpful to them.
Ok. Now that being said, all you should know that finding new customers and selling them a product is much more difficult than selling the same product to your existing customers. This is a profit funnel. Your selling design should be such that buyers of your product become repeated buyers.
Once you have a Strong Profit Funnel in Place…
Once your profit funnel is ready… comes the most difficult part and it is Driving Traffic to your web site so that you can get more names and email-ids as your subscribers. This can be done with the free methods or paid methods. The effectiveness of both varies much depending on the niche that you’ve targeted.
Now to scale up your business, you should track and then calculate the value contributed by each visitor to your web site. This will allow you to start considering about paid traffic and that’s when your business starts overdriving!
You have to find paid traffic sources that will cost less per visitor than what you earn from the visitor. And you’ll be able to build a highly valuable list fast and you’ll turn a profit.
Once you reach this stage (though it’s difficult), you have to tweak your business model to maximize conversion and repeating the steps in other niches.
In Short:
What I explained is a very powerful business model that will make you money if you follow it thoroughly. Chances of failing in this model are when you skip a step and don’t spend a month’s time or so to set-up the blueprint properly.
Now you know the secret!

There’s no argue that this business model works and yes, the most difficult part is driving traffic to your site. You can do this my social media marketing which means that looking and interacting to your target users and earn their trust. Search engine Optimization also plays a vital role in driving traffic.
